Sony a7siii is here
Sony has finally done it!!!
What do I mean by that? Well I mean with it’s latest full frame camera they have finally done an articulated screen which many Sony users have been waiting for.
12MP BSI CMOS sensor
Bionz XR processor
On-sensor phase detection
ISO 80-102,400 (expandable to 40-409,600)
9.44M dot EVF with 0.91x magnification
4K video at up to 120p, 60p for 'at least an hour'
16-bit Raw video output at up to 60p
10-bit 4:2:2 internal capture (in codecs including H.265 and All-I H.264)
Fully articulating LCD
5-axis in-body stabilization with Steady shot active mode
Twin card slots that each accept either SD or CFexpress Type
With improved video specs and several “world’s first” technology features. It features a new Bionz XR chip and 12.1-megapixel Exmor R sensor with huge pixels and a 40-409,600 extended ISO range.
Ok I don’t want to bore you with all specs talk but Sony boasts that it can shoot 4k without overheating. Capture 4K video at up to 120 fps and full HD at 240 fps with full sensor. No 8k. A7S III has double the readout speed for three times less rolling shutter.
The a7 III has 2 card slots is the first camera to use the new CFexpress Type A format. Both slots can accommodate either UHS-II SD cards or CFexpress A cards. Which will make photographers happy.
Overall it looks like Sony is heading in the right direction and keeps on making strides. For me I just wish I can get my hands on this to test it out and have a feel for it.
Come on Sony!!! Give your boy one to test out!!!
